AN OVERVIEW OF THRYVE LEADERS SEGMENT CONTENT
6 COMPETENCIES FOUND IN LEADERS WHO THRIVE IN LIFE AND MINISTRY
↓
-
Knowing God produces an abundant life. (Jn 10:10) Knowing God creates “rivers of living water flowing from within you”. (Jn 7:38)
Leaders cannot lead others to where they have not been themselves. This segment helps the leader build towards a lifetime of depth and joy with God. We look at God’s relationships with:
Abraham and Sarah, the first ministry couple
Paul, the first cross-cultural missionary
-
When a leader understands their life calling it creates holy ambition within them. A leader’s life calling becomes both their focus and their fuel. God’s promise to the leader is to guide and empower them to the completion of their life calling.
This segment will help the leader know their life calling and be aligned to live it out. The leader will:
Clarify and understand their life calling
Gain the perspective of a lifetime of stewardship with their calling
Integrate their current ministry role with their life calling
-
The leader’s ability to build authentic relationships is a key factor in determining the impact, scope, joy, and longevity of their ministry.
This segment will help the leader gain perspective and skills to create and maintain strong relationships at home, in their ministry community, and in life
-
The leader’s effectiveness in leading others is anchored in their ability to lead themself.
In this segment the leader will learn skills in:
Displaying control over their emotions, words, and actions
Managing their time and finances
Demonstrating emotional intelligence
Practicing the spiritual discipline of putting others first
-
Developing key group and organizational leadership skills will multiply the impact and longevity of a leader.
In this segment the leader will engage the principles and skills for:
Creating and communicating vision
Building a ministry model
Recruiting, leading and mobilizing teams, volunteers, and boards.
Building organizational leadership with a shepherd’s heart
Understanding operational leadership: Finances, facilities, human resources.
Building and mobilizing a paid staff team
-
The level to which a leader effectively creates and executes plans will determine the level of impact their leadership creates.
In this segment, the leader will learn to create and implement strategic ministry plans. This process involves:
Recognizing the right opportunities
Coalescing opportunities into a strategic plan. (priorities, objectives, goals, tactics, team and budget)
Mobilizing people and resources to implement the plan in a timely manner.
